Second Opinion Music:
Reviewer: Geoff Broz
Geoff Broz allots a portion of his time to being the night manager at a local convenience store, while the rest-the important part-he dedicates to music. Along with playing bass for local rock group Lords of Thunder, Broz and long-time buddy Scott Taylor run their own film company, Half Bros. Films, through which they make music videos. We asked Broz for his gut opinions on some of this week's featured artists-without, of course, him knowing to whom he was listening at the time.

"Christmas in South Oakland" by Ceann na Caca. From 'Us Drunk Live' (self-released 2003).

That was total genius! If you don't like that, you are not drunk. I liked everything about it, but their sense of humor was the best part. I've spent Christmas in South Oakland, and the song is true to its work. It's a brilliant chronicle of a two-week period that only certain lucky people are blessed enough to enjoy. The music was Irish-influenced, but it has the soul of Pittsburgh. And the chimes were hilarious and brilliant! They were like the punchline of the joke. They didn't take themselves too seriously.
